Camping Stoves: Cook The Same As You Would At Home
I remember the days of camping with dear old mom and dad; we would pitch our tent in the local camp grounds and get settled in for the weekend, our cooler overflowing with pop, beer, and hotdogs and a supply of doughnuts in the picnic basket to eat for breakfast each morning.
Cooking on the fire was more of a hassle than it was worth, so we literally survived on a diet of hotdogs and doughnuts for the entire weekend. Even though this sounds ideal to any young child at first, the joy of roasting a hotdog over the open flame while trying to keep from getting eaten by mosquitoes becomes a little tiring. Bacon and eggs will look tempting to even the pickiest of eaters, because the doughnuts have become stale and are tempting to no one.
Things have certainly changed as the RV's pull into the camp grounds these days sporting a full kitchen and DVD players, not too mention the air condition units and full size beds. Camping has become a luxury for some, no more roughing it unless you really want to.
You can still enjoy life's comforts and sleep soundly, even when tent camping. You don't need an expensive RV to be comfortable in the woods. Including an air mattresses and a camp stove make sure that you wake up without a back ache eat like a king.
For me, camping means hauling a cooler loaded with our family's favorite camping foods such as hot dogs, burgers, potatoes, and just about anything else that can be pre-cooked from home. Modern camping stoves make cooking around the camp about as simple and easy as it is from home. These stoves are available in numerous sizes, styles and models to affordably fit almost any lifestyle.
One of my camping stoves has a grill and two burners, grills a steak to perfection and is portable and makes my life a lot easier when at the campground trying to feed a picky group of kids, although they do still love to put the wieners on the end of a stick and hold them over the fire until they char broiled, a nice hamburger or a few chicken nuggets still makes for an easier weekend.
Campers can now purchase air mattresses and ceiling fans for their tents. Even cooking outdoors is easier by using a camp stove.
